MAGIC, DREAM AND ILLUSION
Inspired by the chaotic scene of the movie Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and paying tribute to the Franch illusionist and filmmaker Georges Méliès, the Nº5 Madrid is a real challenge to the imagination, a game between the real world and the imaginary.
Led by Francisco Segarra, the design team responsible for the interior decoration of Nº5 Madrid transformed this space into a fascinating repair shop of toys that then we realized that it is a restaurant. Located in No. 46 of Calle Ponzano, in Madrid, this restaurant which specializes in gourmet burgers, is an eclectic haven, an escape from the reality that makes us travel to childhood and to the fascinating world of cinema and magic. Carrousels, swings, dollhouses, stacked tricycles - this is what we found when we got to the Nº5. After crossing the initial corridor, there are three areas that structure the space: the entrance hall, the dining room, and the kitchen, which features a bar service. The vintage floor collection, designed by Francisco Segarra, gives fluidity and harmony to the restaurant. As we move into the place, we can see from the floor unevenness that there is another area - more formal, less chaotic, where we can enjoy an intimate and personal meal. In the dining room, antique tables and wooden and metal chairs make the space more welcoming, without sacrificing the imaginary of the repair shop, present here through some objects as the golden lamps and toys.
Magic, dream and illusion, combined with an appetizing menu, transform Nº5 Madrid in an absolutely unique space.
