A RUSTIC-CHIC RETREAT
Made of suspended mountains, historic churches and towns whose personality rivals some of the most interesting urban centers, Georgia is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. At the eastern end of the Black Sea, with Turkey and Armenia to the south, Azerbaijan to the east and Russia to the north, Georgia is one of the most ecologically diversified countries in the world, with climatic regions ranging from subtropical, alpine to semi desert. Therefore it is not surprising that this variety of natural environments is making Georgia an appealing destination. The lovers of mountain scenarios thank the variety of hiking programs and tracks and the offers for climbers: Georgia is a paradise for free riders and heli-skiers. Stepantsiminda, known for its striking location along the banks of the Greater Caucasus’ mountains, is a unique discovery. Formerly known as Kazbegi, named after the renowned Georgian writer Alexander Kazbegi, the village of Stepantsiminda synthesizes the natural beauty of the mountain landscape.
It is precisely this dramatic setting that serves as support and inspiration to the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi. The structures of the building are warm, with wood, glass and steel as the main materials, the project, which focuses on a modern and culturally sensitive awareness, places the Caucasus Mountains on the map.
