THE EVERLASTING CONTEMPORANEOUS

 

Aege and Kasper Würtz are father and son, and also the team behind a ceramic studio. Together they create the pieces of the renowned Würtz pottery, which are sought after renowned Danish restaurants as well as across borders and beyond oceans.
But only time, and some of its moods, dictated the success of the ceramists studio opened by Aege Würtz. Apprentice at one of the many ceramics in Jutland, Denmark, he set up his own crockery shop in the early 1980s. However, about a decade later, Aege Würtz decides to take some time away given that a new aesthetic had emerged favoring minimalist and white porcelain. Therefore Würtz left the workshop and began teaching social studies.
