The 2017 World Architecture Festival already has a theme. Performance will be the centre of this festival programme that will take place in Berlin, between the 15th and 17th of November. Thus, the discussion will go through some buildings designed for performance such as, for example, theatres or concert halls as well as the “role that buildings” in the city life, according to the director Paul Finch. He also says the “multiple aspects of performance that architecture has to embrace: aesthetics, technical, economic and psychological” will be analysed.
The World Architecture Festival is once again in European soil, after its return in 2016 – the most attended edition yet – after four years in Singapore.
Zaha Hadid Architects and Foster + Partners are amongst the winners of past editions.
