Gullet House

FROM 1940 TO THE PRESENT DAY

This is a house whose history goes back to 1940: an old bungalow, in East Austin, USA, that now relives. The rehabilitation was taken care of by Jeanne Schultz Design Studio and was particular cautious about the space’s aesthetic integration in its surroundings. The hues and textures are some of the details taken into account, with highlight to the preservation of elements such as the pre-existing hardwood floor, mixed with materials with a copper hue and several whites. Besides, the interior design wanted the space to convey a feeling of being a forest house – hence the claw foot bathtub or the brass fixtures. Jeanne Schultz’ studio also wanted the entire space to be well illuminated with natural light.
