EARLY Cedofeita

Where time matters.

Dawning at EARLY Cedofeita is inspiring. It makes us wish to have time, more time, to remain in this place. At number 374 Rua dos Bragas, in the former location of the historic Contraste – bookstore, stationery shop and night-club, in Porto, now houses the new restaurant space of the siblings Patrícia Sousa and Emanuel de Sousa, the pair that we recognise by now from Rosa et al Townhouse and the Earlymade concept store. We knew from the beginning that this would be yet another special place. And we were not mistaken.

Every day, adding to the special coffee – delicious and one of EARLY’s greatest strengths – there is 100% natural slow fermentation bread

We arrived at EARLY the light was still dim and we let ourselves stay. To get to know the space’s dynamics, to understand it – the space, of those who thought it out and those who visit it every day –, and to comprehend the place’s philosophy. Conceived to value season’s products, what earth gives us at each new time of year, fruits and vegetables that come early, at the right time, “early”, the new city’s state of the art coffee shop and restaurant has a very definite mission: “to bring to the table the best ingredients of every season and let them speak for themselves”.

With each new day, the team thinks and designs a lunch menu, prepared from scratch, always using top quality local products and organic ingredients. Every day, adding to the special coffee – delicious and one of EARLY’s greatest strengths – there is 100% natural slow fermentation bread and an assortment of unforgettable cakes and viennoiseries. We tasted the ginger and spice cake and the French croissant, to eat and leave you begging for more.
