“Souto de Moura – Memory, Projects, Works”

Casa da Arquitectura – Portuguese Architecture Center premieres on October 18 what will be its largest exhibition production and, at the same time, the most significant monographic reading of the work of architect Eduardo Souto de Moura. In May of this year, the renowned architect deposited the entire collection in Casa da Arquitectura, in Matosinhos. This heritage consists of 604 mockups and about 8500 drawings, as well as all the textual and photographic documentation that complements Souto de Moura’s projects, produced during his four decades of professional activity.

From this impressive volume, critical readings will be drawn through various initiatives and a vast program of activities. Curated by Francesco Dal Co and Nuno Graça Moura, from October 18, 2019, to September 6, 2020, the exhibition “Souto de Mora – Memory, Projects, Works” offers a unique and rare exposure of the work of one of the most prestigious portuguese architects.
