A PROJECT BY MAIN OFFICE
In Sayulita, Mexico, a house got a new life. MAIN OFFICE rehabilitated and expanded CASA LT, with a privileged view to the beach and well placed in the luxurious Mexican greenery. This house was, in fact, thought around the palm and almond trees, so that from every space – both interior and exterior – on can watch the waterfront. Originally, the architecture studio team focused on the rehabilitation of the pre-existing structure from the fifties, keeping its essence, and, afterwards, another building and a guest house were built. The house has, therefore, three buildings. The connections amongst the various spaces were made through cement connections, walkaways and gardens, and the link between interior and exterior wears off. The kitchen, for example, has a panoramic view and the house also has an infinity pool.
For CASA LT, the architects strived to use a building system and materials from local sources, including indigenous wood for the furniture.
