SIMPLICITY AND COMFORT
A family home in Sanfins, Santa Maria da Feira, smoothly mixes the countryside style with the contemporary. Using concrete, wood and stone, atelier Pedro Henrique Arquiteto draw a project based on the “recovery of an existing stone house” and on a new space made in concrete, which were connected through a “wooden structure and wide openings”. It was also considered the space relation with its surroundings and the different spaces’ functionalities. With that in mind, the private areas were assigned to the upper floor and the social areas and services to the ground floor.
The architects betted on a double right foot and on the “full transparency of the wooden body”, and in there the simplicity stands out, with white walls and wood floor and ceilings, as well as comfort.
