LISBON’S NEW ITALIAN
Italy’s new address is Rua do Alecrim, in Lisbon. At MANO A MANO, by the hands of the executive chef Laura Schneider, the promise is a journey through the authentic Italian traditional flavours. Here, one doesn’t eat only pizza or pasta – that’s the ideia the chef wants to demystify. The menu is divided in seven categories: Antipasti (Starters), Insalate (Salads), Primi (First course), Secondi (Main course), Contorni (Side dish), Piatti Unici (Exclusive dish) and Dolci (Desserts).
And even though the menu is made with much more than that – there are dishes such as Scaloppine di baccalà al prosecco with nil tartufo and creamy polenta – you can also find the tipical Lasagne alla Bolognese and pizzas (both Roman and Neapolitan). To go with the meal, the wine selection includes various ones from different Portuguese and Italian regions.
Italy is now closer to Cais do Sodré.
