For the first time, the architecture’s most important prize was delivered to an Indian architect, with a career that counts more than 70 years of practice. He was born in 1927 and started to study architecturein 1947 at Sir J.J. School of Architecture Bombay.
Le Corbusier was one of his greatest inspirations, and he oversaw some of the Swiss architect’s works in India.
Doshi’s architecture reveals us an artistic vision with reverence for life and the Eastern culture, which transforms in a very personal architecture that let us see a bit of his past.
