In Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, there is a new space to taste the Japanese cuisine. There one can find a design with roots in an ancient art: Nippon tattooing. A project by Wick Architecture &Design + LAND Design, there one can live Tokyo modern aura, without letting aside tradition and humour. With a fresh and pleasant face, at Sake Dojo wood is the used canvas – instead of human skin – to ink that shapes a sort of tattoo in the wall. The décor has a vintage flourish that includes posters of films such as Trainspotting or Life Aquatic, sake bottles, Japanese cookbooks and vintage cameras. Dojo Sake is located at Mikado Hotel’s ground floor.
