CONCRETE AND ART
For this house, the beginning was a two-level loft which resembled a white box with several little rooms. Studio VARA, which had previously worked with the clients, endeavoured to make it a spacious and warm house, and also to make the most of the view to Bay Bridge.
Therefore, the architects exposed the concrete and reimagined this house’s space, in San Francisco, USA, with European white oak, gray panels and white walls. This materials were complemented with a “vibrant” carpet, which the owners bought even before the beginning of the place’s rehabilitation, furniture and, also, artworks.
