Teresa Freitas

Magazine Art + Culture | 28 Aug 2018

Teresa Freitas is a graphic designer and one of our favourite instagrammers. In love with pastel colours, her photographs make us dream and seem drawn from the imagery of the films of the American director Wes Anderson. She dislikes days with no sunshine and photographs both with a mobile phone and a professional camera. Welcome to the world of @teresacfreitas!

How did Instagram come into your life?

Very naturally. I installed the application and started taking pictures with my mobile phone, day to day reality, wherever I went. I developed my style over time, moving away from certain things and introducing others. At this time it is part of my professional life – a large part of my work was built from Instagram.

What inspires you the most?

The desire to be elsewhere.

When did Instagram become more professional?

In 2015 I had my first participation with a French brand. From then on, more began to come up. With every campaign I materialize I get more visibility in the world of brands and agencies, and my work is also getting more mature. I try to make each cooperation better than the one before on a more technical level, since at an inspirational level this is not always possible.
