  1. The Hotel itself

85 years of history aren’t 85 days. If the walls of Tivoli Avenida Liberdade could speak, we would hear melodious words that get lost in the glamour of the 1930s, a meeting place for celebrities, heads of state and royalty (Astor Piazzola, Geraldine Chaplin, Henry Fonda, Maria Callas, Mário Vargas Llosa, Neil Armstrong, Fidel Castro, Shimon Peres, Tony Blair or Fernando Henrique Cardoso are just some of the illustrious guests). In the heart of Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon, the hotel has evolved with a unique consistency, preserving its aesthetics. In 2016, Tivoli began rehabilitation works without ever closing doors and what we find today is a carefully renovated building in a happy meeting between the classic and the contemporary. From 306, the rooms are now 286 and a new family room category was integrated. The suites are equipped with the highest facilities and the 270 sq. m. Presidential Suite is the ultimate example of exclusivity.
