ZERO NORMAL, 100% OUT OF THE BOX
What if you could add art and entertainment to a hotel stay? Now you can do so at the new Hotel Zero Box Lodge, in Porto. Here, to rest is a priority, at any time of the day, so it’s possible to have breakfast until 7 pm at the City Club, where one can drink coffee while listening to songs by artists from the north of Portugal. There is also a cinema room where you can appreciate the 7th Art. The rooms are real boxes, without windows, and vary in typology and price, from the basic box to the free room – a fully glazed room where, if you let your privacy aside, it is possible to sleep in exchange of artistic proposals.
Another novelty is the O Carniceiro’s author cuisine, a casual restaurant, with long tables and typical Portuguese flavours with a slight contemporary touch. In the same space, one finds the Big Bad Bank Bar, an old safe box that now contains millions of ZERO notes, but offers exclusive cocktails. The hotel also includes a Bookstop, where shelves are filled with books written by Gonçalo M. Tavares in more than 30 languages. Regarding the building, the Mainside project retained the front facade and general features of the former Camisaria Confiança. Moreover, everything has changed for an unforgettable cultural and touristic experience.
