SERVING UP ANGLES AND AFFECTIONS

This story is made of affections and ingredients, the flavours and aromas of which lie in the mists of time. In Mónica Pinto’s studio there are memories of an unconditional love for food and the way of presenting it, honourably, intensely, complicitly. In Pratos e Travessas, photographer and professional food stylist Mónica compiles assorted chronicles that pay tribute to Portuguese and world cuisine, markets, fruit and the places that bring them to life. In amongst lenses and props, she recreates vibrant recipes, adjusting angles and perspectives, seasoning with light and colours and immortalising textures and volumes, while always remembering, with every click of the shutter, that this is a story of affections and ingredients, the flavours and aromas of which lie lost in the mists of time.
